In 2009, Jane and Stephen decided to develop their passion for gardening and embarked on a 9 year project to develop the 5 main borders that you see today. This has been done in conjunction with different members of the pottery and shop workforce, and a very valued volunteer.
Our Gardens flower from the middle of April through to September. We have carefully selected our choice of plants to maintain the vibrancy and longevity of our borders throughout the year. Our Hornbeam Walk is planted to give a new experience to the knowing eye every month. If bees and butterflies are your thing, make sure to come between July and August for a chance to see our rare Black Bumble Bee: ‘Bombus ruderatus.’
We are very proud to have had several articles written about our gardens. These fabulous articles were published in: Landscape Magazine, RHS The Garden Magazine, The Telegraph, Country Living Magazine, Cotswold Life and Gardens Illustrated.
Being featured on BBC’s Gardeners World back in the summer was also such a privilege and something we are also very proud of! We are feeling very grateful for all the exposure our gardens have had and we hope they bring our lovely customers as much joy as they give us. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0bjj97d

Brilliant food and the plants are good for the price it's a nice place to visit
What a lovely time my daughter and I had this afternoon. If we said once 'isn't that lovely" "oh! Love that" " now that is beautiful", must have said it dozens of times. The pottery is beautiful, so many other things I haven't seen before. So much to see. The cafe is a delight, spotless, and food is great, all homemade. Huge selection. A must to visit
Gardens were a glorious riot of colour. Staff were very helpful in the cafe carrying our lunch upstairs for us. The food was excellent.
I visited today as part of a small home education group, we enjoyed walking around the gardens and loved the tour of the pottery workshop. I completely underestimated the process that each piece of pottery goes through and am so impressed with the energy and craftsmanship of the staff. The food in the cafe is lovely and it’s all just very well done from the decent amount of parking to the beautiful shop displays and the gorgeous outside spaces. Thank you
Paul, my husband, and I go very regularly for lunch or tea. We love the atmosphere. The shop is very tempting - great for presents. The gardens are really beautiful with gorgeous displays of colourful flowers. My husband and daughter take brilliant photographs of the flower beds. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Thoroughly recommend.
Love coming here with my family. We enjoy a look round the shop and then a cake for a treat. The food is beautiful especially the cakes. Afternoon tea is also beautiful and brilliant value for money.
Large portions of lovely home cooked food. Good value. Friendly speedy service.
What a fabulous floral delight walking through the garden this place is. So pleasantly surprised at such a display of wonderful flora. I agree totally with everyone's comments on the restaurant and gift shop though the excellent and rather unique Pottery on sale was a little out of my price range, which was a shame.
The potery here is amazing, and we have lots of it at home. The cafe and other services here are very nice to. A great place for a morning / afternoon trip for some down time.
This is my first visit here. The shop has lovely products. All staff are very friendly and helpful. The café has tasty food and great tasting coffee. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the flowers are wonderful. Thank you for a fantastic visit and we will definitely be back!
Wonderful Place near Oxford for pottery, superb food and drink. They started the gardens from scratch and they are becoming more beautiful each year. I have had the pottery now for more than 20 years and they still look like new. Very recommendable! Update August 2019 Went again with my friends. The gardens are a mass of colour an even bigger than last year. Food was good as usual and they sell their own calendar now.
Always a beautiful place to visit. The staff are just amazing, smiles and friendly. Lovely tea and coffee with great cakes and scones.
